Venao Mag is a community-driven documentry storytelling platform born in Playa Venao, Panama, a place where waves meet ideas, and people from around the world come to create, dream, and build.
We tell authentic, raw, and inspiring stories of the individuals, projects, and initiatives shaping life in Venao. From entrepreneurs and artists to environmental innovators and local pioneers, our stories celebrate the unique spirit that makes this place more than just a beach it’s a movement.
EcoBasura
From Reporting Bad News to Creating Good in the World - this is the story of Rod Facundez.
Rod started as a volunteer at Eco Venao, today, he’s building a small but powerful venture that turns organic waste into natural fertilizer and proving how one person’s trash can become another person’s gold.
We joined Rod for a day to follow his process, hear his journey, and see how positive impact starts from the ground up, literally.

How to say Kick in Spanish?
Dafna just wanted a few friends to play soccer with.
What she didn’t know was that this simple wish would spark something much bigger.
That’s how the Playa Venao Women’s soccer Group was born, a team where women of all ages show up once a week to feel like kids again. Mothers, beginners, seasoned players… Everyone comes to run, laugh, kick the ball, and reconnect with that pure, playful joy.
That’s the magic of Playa Venao, it draws in the kind of people who shape their dreams into reality.

Let's Clean it Up
What started as one man’s morning walks between pieces of trash turned into a movement.
Adi decided enough was enough and invited the entire Playa Venao community to join him for a beach clean-up.
On Sunday afternoon, kids, parents, and neighbors of all ages showed up. Together, we filled bags, laughed, and turned hard work into a celebration of community.
We capture stories of people who dare to make the world better, and here, one simple act sparked a change that restored a beach for everyone: humans and wildlife alike.
